Microsoft Office Update Channel

Required Version

Every DM user must use 32-or 64-bit Microsoft Word with:

semi-annual update channel
version 1804 or prior

Checking Your Current Version

To check your version and update channel, click on File > Account.

Possible Issues in DM Word

Later versions may cause temporary issues with viewing two areas in Certent DM Word:

View Tagging Table may appear as a blank gray window
DM Designer Panel may appear black with a startup message at the top

Setting Update Channel

To resolve the issue, please request that your IT department:

Change the update channel to the Semi-Annual channel. This update channel is intended for businesses other than software developers; for more information, see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployoffice/overview-of-update-channels-for-office-365-proplus.
After changing to the semi-annual channel, update the version of Microsoft Office: In Word, click File > Account > Update Options, From the drop-down menu, select Update Now.
In Word, verify in File > Account that the Microsoft Office version is now 1804 or prior and set to the semi-annual channel.
